The Garfield Community Learning Center Golden Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 42-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ellet. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Garfield Community Learning Center in their matchups with Ellet: they've now lost four in a row.
Caitlyn Holmes was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists for Ellet. Holmes hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sanaiiya Gray, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Garfield Community Learning Center's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Ellet, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Garfield Community Learning Center's road trip will continue as they head out to face Roosevelt at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Ellet, they will square off against Buchtel at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buchtel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 489th, while Ellet is ranked 218th).
