Rock Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Guajome Park Academy Frogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-2 on Wednesday.
Max Gimbel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, Quentin Uhland was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Brady Olson, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases.
