The Piedmont Classical Bobcats won the last time they faced the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Piedmont Classical snuck past College Prep & Leadership Academy with a 55-49 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Piedmont Classical.
Piedmont Classical's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marti Holley, who scored 14 points along with 7 steals. Holley is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ge'Kayla Goins, who scored 8 points along with 12 steals and 5 assists.
Despite the loss, College Prep & Leadership Academy still got an impressive performance from Aloni Rutledge, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Da?nysa Holloway, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
The victory got Piedmont Classical back to even at 2-2. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedmont Classical will face off against Page at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethany at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
