Elko has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will challenge the Reed Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Elko focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Elko was the victim of a rough 53-32 loss at the hands of Kuna.
Elko's loss came about despite a quality game from Preston Chamberlin, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The match was Chamberlin's third in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, Reed pushed their score all the way to 68 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Douglas. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Reed in their matchups with Douglas: they've now lost five in a row.
Elko's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Kuna's defeat dropped them down to 2-2.
Elko didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Reed in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 69-63 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elko since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
