After a string of six wins, the Suitland Rams's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost to Laurel on the road by a decisive 68-51 margin. Suitland has struggled against Laurel recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Laurel's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Brown, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Brown also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jermaine Taylor, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Suitland now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Laurel, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Suitland will take on DuVal at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Laurel, they will be playing at home against Parkdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
