Despite the loss, Tallassee still got an impressive performance from Rowen Thornton, who scored 21 points. Thornton hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games.
It was another big night for Cam?ron Dooley, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds for Valley. Dooley has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Jay Harper was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Tallassee's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Valley, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1.
Tallassee's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on January 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Alabama (Beauregard is ranked 281st, while the Tigers are ranked 262nd). As for Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Warriors at 2:00 p.m. Russell County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
