This season hasn't been kind to Mars Hill Academy, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calvary Christian on Friday.
Calvary Christian was led to victory by Wyatt Schlatter and Philip Davie. Schlatter scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Davie dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Schlatter hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Patton, who scored eight points along with six assists and three steals.
Mars Hill Academy's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Calvary Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Mars Hill Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against East Dayton Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvary Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dominion Academy at 5:45 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Dominion Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Saturday.
