Concord took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They beat the Central Cabarrus Vikings by a goal, winning 3-2. Even though Concord got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Jhonathan Olvera-Navarro was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.
Aldahir Sanchez and Rowen Klauss scored all three of Concord's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.
Coming up, Concord will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Cox Mill at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central Cabarrus, they will face off against Jay M. Robinson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
