Patrick Henry Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Beaufort Academy Eagles. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.
Patrick Henry Academy never let Beaufort Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-14, 25-18.
Sophie Westendorf paced Patrick Henry Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Westendorf got some help from Emilee Stanley and her 19 assists. Kinley Cook controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
