It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cathedral had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 63-6 win over Prouty. Cathedral's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

DJ Desir continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 107 yards and four scores on only ten carries, while also picking up 69 receiving yards and one TD. His longest reception was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Taqaire Bell was in the mix as well, providing Cathedral with three touchdowns.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Cathedral, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Bell, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Cathedral didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bell and Diomar Acosta. Bell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Cathedral's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Prouty, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Cathedral will take on Lee at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Prouty, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leicester at 10:15 a.m. on the 27th. The Wolverines will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
