Pinewood Christian's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They really took it to the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-19 win. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Pinewood Christian was led to victory by Sam Wasson and Jojo Tippett. Wasson rushed for 108 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries, while Tippett rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Wasson also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles (3.0 for loss). Harrison Cleary got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pinewood Christian's run defense was locked in: Thomas Jefferson Academy could only muster -1.9 yards per carry. While two picked up at least six total tackles, Wasson stood above the rest. He rushed for 108 yards and two scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 57 yards and one touchdown. Pinewood Christian didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.1.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Pinewood Christian, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Maddux Lewis, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

The victory got Pinewood Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinewood Christian will head out to square off against First Presbyterian Day at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Patriots' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Brentwood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Jaguars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
