After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Walkertown, Salisbury was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Lexington Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by nine runs or more this season.
Ashley Yang made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Yang was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
In other batting news, Allison Peeler was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Blackwell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.
