Lawson won the last time they faced Hume-Fogg and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lightning put the hurt on the Blue Knights with a sharp 18-1 victory. The Lightning might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 17 runs or more this season.
Bailey Clem made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. She was even better at the plate, firing off three triples, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Joi Stewart and Isabella Batts did most of the damage at the plate: Stewart scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Batts went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Cotton, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
