Stanley blew Ebarb out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Ebarb got their revenge. The Panthers fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 10-8. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Casen Paddie made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Jackson Moton also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Anacoco got the win against Merryville on Saturday by a conclusive 13-1. Considering the Indians have won nine contests by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Drew Patin and Henry Shealy did most of the damage at the plate: Patin went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Shealy went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Anacoco is undefeated when Patin posts two or more runs, but 8-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Thompson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Anacoco has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Stanley, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-9.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stanley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. However, it's not like Anacoco struggles in that department as they've averaged .459. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stanley couldn't quite get it done against Anacoco in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 as they fell 5-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
