Pike extended their winning streak to 12 on Saturday, bumping them up to 13-1. They took their game with ease, bagging a 67-34 win over the Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Pike's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Savayah Mitchell, who shot 56% from the field on her way to 10 points and eight boards. Elyssa Nichols was another key player, putting up eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Pike smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

As for Fort Wayne Northrop, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Pike is ranked second).

Several Bruins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Swynn Jackson, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Jackson has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Khala Williams-Thomas, who had 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Pike has already played their next game (against Lafayette Jefferson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fort Wayne Northrop, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 70-48 win against Noblesville on the 3rd.
