It was a good run, but West Johnston unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the South Johnston Trojans by a score of 4-3. Wildcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Trojans since on Tuesday.

West Johnston's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for South Johnston, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

West Johnston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against C.B. Aycock on the 4th. As for South Johnston, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Fike on the 3rd.
