Kalama is 1-9 against the Ducks since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Kalama Chinooks will be playing at home against the Toutle Lake Ducks at 7:00 p.m. Kalama will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Ducks are ranked 73rd).
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Kalama, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-50 loss to the Timberwolves.
Despite the loss, Kalama saw an underclassman step up: Abel Koski scored eight points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Koski also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jevan Lucente, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Toutle Lake strolled past the Indians with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 62-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Toutle Lake.
Kalama's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Toutle Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
