Despite their defeat, Rivers of Life Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ali Thompson, who posted 19 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Hailey Henrichs, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson School played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Mississippi Valley Christian, falling 47-27.
Rivers of Life Christian will have to keep a close watch on Asha Silva and Izzy Pieroni, a pair of players who had a big impact on Thomas Jefferson School's prior game. Silva put up six points and five steals, while Pieroni earned ten points along with six steals and three blocks. The dominant performance also gave Silva a new career-high in assists (three).
