After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Frederick, the North Hagerstown Hubs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Smithsburg by a score of 59-50. That's another feather in the cap for North Hagerstown, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Landon Somerville was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nas Keyes, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
The victory got North Hagerstown back to even at 1-1. As for Smithsburg, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Hagerstown will challenge Catoctin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Smithsburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Williamsport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
