The Montgomery Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 62-30 victory over Harrisonburg. The win was some much needed relief for Montgomery as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Montgomery's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from A Manson, who scored 13 points along with nine assists and five rebounds. Manson set a new season high mark in points with 13. D. Moore was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Montgomery's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Harrisonburg, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Montgomery will head out on the road to face off against Georgetown at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Georgetown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Montgomery is ranked 156th). As for Harrisonburg, they will face off against Grant at TBD on Monday.
