Even though the Kelly Walsh Trojans have not done well against the Thunder Basin Bolts recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Kelly Walsh narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Thunder Basin 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jack Nicholls continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Mason Eager, who scored 15 points.
The win got Kelly Walsh back to even at 2-2. As for Thunder Basin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Kelly Walsh's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lyman on December 15th. Thunder Basin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Star Valley at 10:20 a.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Star Valley is ranked 29th, while Thunder Basin is ranked 46th).
