The Terrell County Greenwave scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with an 83-74 victory over Early County. The win was nothing new for Terrell County as they're now sitting on three straight.
Terrell County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shaheed Huckaby led the charge by scoring 24 points. The contest was Huckaby's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Michael Carter was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was K'eMarion Pugh, who scored 19 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Pugh scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabril Lindsey, who scored 20 points.
Terrell County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Early County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terrell County will take on Pataula Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pataula Charter Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Early County, they will head out on the road to face off against Calhoun County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Calhoun County's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
