The Turlock Christian Eagles's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took down Stockton Christian 69-51. This was payback for Turlock Christian, who suffered a 68-55 loss the last time these two teams met.
Will Kelley had a dynamite game for Turlock Christian, scoring 31 points. Those 31 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Winston York, who scored five points along with nine rebounds.
Turlock Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Stockton Christian, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turlock Christian will square off against Stone Ridge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stockton Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Don Pedro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Don Pedro comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
