Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Haynes Academy walked away with it. They never let the Frederick A. Douglass Bobcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Haynes Academy, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Haynes Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Frederick A. Douglass, they moved to 11-4 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.
