The Oak Ridge Trojans lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 66-39 loss at the hands of Del Oro. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oak Ridge has scored all season.
Jake Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Del Oro, scoring 24 points along with five rebounds. Williams hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Pinnick, who scored five points along with 13 rebounds and eight assists.
Oak Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Del Oro, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
Oak Ridge will be playing at home against Folsom at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Folsom knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Oak Ridge likes a good challenge. As for Del Oro, they will head out on the road to challenge Granite Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Del Oro is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Granite Bay in California (Del Oro is ranked 73rd, while Granite Bay is ranked 364th).
