The Springdale Prep Lions put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past West Nottingham, posting a 72-12 win at home. The result was nothing new for Springdale Prep, who have now won four games by 37 points or more so far this season.
Springdale Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tarkan Bahcivanci led the charge by scoring 11 points. The contest was Bahcivanci's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Massey, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Springdale Prep pushed their record up to 6-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.4 points per game. As for West Nottingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Springdale Prep will play host again and welcome Mt. Zion Prep Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Zion Prep Academy will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. As for West Nottingham, they will head out on the road to face off against Rosedale Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Rosedale Christian Academy is ranked 55th, while West Nottingham is ranked 65th).
