The Blum Bobcats will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Abbott Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Blum will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1624th, while Abbott is ranked 800th).
Blum pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Valor Preparatory Academy.
Meanwhile, Abbott ended up a good deal behind Axtell on Tuesday and lost 62-48.
Blum's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Abbott, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.
Blum might still be hurting after the 48-25 defeat they got from Abbott when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Blum was down 29-9.
