Baseball Recap: Crandon Extends Winning Streak to Three

Crandon waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Goodman-Pembine Falcons get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Cardinals have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Nolan Bradley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Crandon is undefeated when Bradley posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Mavrik Mayer, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Crandon pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Goodman-Pembine, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crandon will host Merrill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Goodman-Pembine, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Florence at 5:00 p.m.
