Basketball Recap: Auburn Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Auburn came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Opelika Bulldogs 71-43. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 24 points or more this season.

BROOKE HALLMAN had an outrageously good game as she went 9 of 20 on her way to 21 points. Another player making a difference was BRAYLEE WINFREY, who posted 16 points and six boards.

Auburn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Auburn's victory bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Opelika, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Auburn nor Opelika have any future games scheduled.
