It was a good run, but the Livingston Christian Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 84-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bloomfield Christian School. Despite running the score up even higher than they did back in December of 2023 (69), Livingston Christian still had to take the loss.
Bloomfield Christian School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Thomas, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds. Those 28 points set a new season-high mark for him. Joshua Backos was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten assists.
Livingston Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Bloomfield Christian School, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Livingston Christian will take on Our Lady of the Lakes at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Our Lady of the Lakes will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 479th, while Livingston Christian is ranked 157th). Bloomfield Christian School will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Washtenaw Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
