After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Malakoff, Grand Saline was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They walked away with  a   44-33  victory over the Eustace Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  44-34  back in December of 2024.
 Eustace's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Ailie Stegall, who  posted 11  points in addition to six  boards and four  steals. That's the most  steals  Stegall has posted since back in November of 2024.  Paige Quigg was another key player,  putting up seven points and six  steals.
The  win  got Grand Saline back to even at 15-15. As for Eustace, they dropped their record down to 7-16 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Grand Saline has  already played their next  matchup (against Mineola), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Eustace is taking a road trip to  take on Quitman  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Quitman will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  victory, something Eustace surely won't give up without a fight.
