The Harmon Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Highland Park Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harmon will be strutting in after a win while Highland Park will be coming in after a defeat.
Harmon's 15-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 13-0 victory over St. Mary's Academy. The victory was just what Harmon needed coming off of a 31-7 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Highland Park after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Washington who ended up claiming the real prize. Highland Park took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Washington.
Highland Park's loss came about despite a quality game from CJ Brown, who picked up 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Even if they lost, Highland Park's defense sure didn't make it easy: Washington's QB was sacked three times before it was all said and done. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jamelle Wms-sanders jr..
Harmon's win bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Highland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Harmon took a serious blow against Highland Park in their previous matchup back in September, falling 40-6. Can Harmon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
