Greenfield waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Coastal Christian Centurions as they made off with a 14-0 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Simon Quinn made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Christopher Tankersley, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mack Wiggins, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Greenfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coastal Christian only posted an OBP of .077.

Greenfield's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Coastal Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coming up, Greenfield will square off against South Wake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coastal Christian, they will face off against Wayne Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
