The Olympus Titans will take on the Brighton Bengals at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympus is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Olympus took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Alta 12-1. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Ruby Corey made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Corey was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Olympus got a massive performance out of Allisson Robles, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Robles has hit this season. Ashton Nelson was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
Olympus hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Brighton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Viewmont, falling 20-0.
The victory got Olympus back to even at 6-6. As for Brighton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Brighton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Olympus has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Brighton, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given Olympus' sizable advantage in that area, the Bengals will need to find a way to close that gap.
Olympus beat Brighton 4-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Bengals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
