Malcolm is 7-2 against Wahoo/Bishop Neumann since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Clippers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Malcolm's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Wahoo/Bishop Neumann has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Malcolm's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Arlington. Considering the Clippers have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Gavin Little, who gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Arlington off the board. Little has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Malcolm got a big performance out of Justin Wisnieski, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits Wisnieski has posted since back in May of 2025. Nolan Duzik was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Malcolm was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .417 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Wahoo/Bishop Neumann posted their closest victory since March 31st on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lincoln Christian 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won four in a row.
Quin Schutt was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Wahoo/Bishop Neumann is undefeated when Schutt posts one or more home runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alex Barry, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Malcolm's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Wahoo/Bishop Neumann, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Malcolm has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wahoo/Bishop Neumann struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Malcolm was able to grind out a solid victory over Wahoo/Bishop Neumann in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 4-1. Will the Clippers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
