The Vidalia Vikings lost against the Oak Grove Tigers back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Vidalia was beaten by Oak Grove 56-14. While losing is never fun, Vidalia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Oak Grove is ranked 42nd).
Leading Oak Grove to victory were Jay Freeman and Jackson Bradley. Freeman gained 172 total yards and three touchdowns, while Bradley threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Brodie Stuart did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 88 receiving yards.
Vidalia's defeat was their fourth straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 4-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.0 points per game. As for Oak Grove, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Vidalia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oak Grove also has no future games currently scheduled.
