After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Thursday, Springwood came back down to earth. The Springwood Wildcats took a hard 60-42 fall against the Riverdale Raiders on Saturday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Riverdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nigel Favers, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Those nine boards gave Favers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Allen, who posted 15 points.

Springwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Riverdale, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Springwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-42 loss against Harris County on the 30th. As for Riverdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-50 victory against Valiant Cross Academy on the 30th.
