The Timberline Wolves won the last time they faced the Highland Rams, and things went their way on Saturday too. Timberline claimed a resounding 66-28 victory over Highland on the road. Given Timberline's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Highland is ranked 87th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Highland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rian Pokibro, who scored 12 points, and Gracee Anderson who scored 4 points. Pokibro scored a full 42.9% of Highland's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Timberline has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Highland, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Timberline will head out on the road to face off against Eagle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highland, they will be playing at home against Pocatello at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
