4A Narrows recap Oct. 16, 2012
Bellarmine Prep extended the longest winning streak in 4A Narrows this week by beating Yelm, 56-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Lions.
South Kitsap and Lincoln played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with South Kitsap eventually emerging with a 39-34 victory.
Bellarmine Prep's Sefo Liufau and Garrett McKay have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Liufau has thrown for 1335 yards this season, while McKay, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 38 catches for 578 yards. The Tornadoes' Jacob Swilley leads the league in rushing yards with 1067.
A big matchup in 4A Narrows this week will be when Olympia takes on Thomas Larsen's team. The Bears are in fifth place, while the Lions are in second place.
