If Southwick Regional was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Ludlow on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell 3-1 to the West Springfield Terriers on Monday. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Southwick Regional couldn't get the win, but they sure gave West Springfield a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 28-30, 25-19, 25-19.

Southwick Regional's loss came despite strong showings from Max Salvador and River Thompson. Salvador had 19 digs and one assist, while Thompson had nine kills, five digs, and two aces. Thompson is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had seven or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Southwick Regional's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for West Springfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Southwick Regional will face off against Holyoke at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Springfield, they will challenge Westfield at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
