The Hermitage Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Deep Run Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
On Friday, Hermitage lost to the Jaguars at home by a decisive 66-47 margin. While losing is never fun, Hermitage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Jaguars are ranked 45th).
Hermitage's loss came about despite a quality game from Breyona Robinson, who scored 17 points along with eight assists and five steals. It was the first time this season that Robinson posted eight or more assists. Tori Woodley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Deep Run came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Godwin by a score of 55-43.
Hermitage's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Deep Run, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
