The Fredonia Hillbillies will head out on the road to  square off against  the Salamanca Warriors at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Fredonia will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 365th, while Salamanca is ranked 176th).
 Last Saturday, Fredonia suffered a  tough 58-38 loss at the hands of Southwestern.
 Meanwhile, Salamanca can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent  match  on Monday. They claimed a resounding  58-14 win over Dunkirk on the road. The  matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  32-3.
 Salamanca relied on the efforts of   Lezly Mccomber, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and ten  rebounds, and   Karina Mireles-crouse, who  scored 16 points along with seven  rebounds and five  assists. Mireles-crouse is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Leilene Mccomber, who  scored 11 points.
 Fredonia's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Salamanca, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
 Fredonia ended up a good deal behind  Salamanca when the teams last played  back in January, losing  53-35. Can Fredonia avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
