The Shiloh Hills Christian Challengers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Lafayette Christian with a sharp 79-57 win. The win was a breath of fresh air for Shiloh Hills Christian as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Lafayette Christian still got an impressive performance from Bruno Tellez, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Tellez has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Zapata, who scored 14 points.
Shiloh Hills Christian's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9. As for Lafayette Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
Shiloh Hills Christian will be playing at home against Dominion Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Hearts Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hearts Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
