The Berean Christian Eagles lost against the Ygnacio Valley Wolves back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Berean Christian took a serious blow against Ygnacio Valley, falling 75-29. Berean Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-21.
Ygnacio Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Antonio Kellogg Jr, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The match was Kellogg Jr's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Todd Tatom Jr, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Berean Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Ygnacio Valley, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Berean Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northgate at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Ygnacio Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Salesian College Preparatory at 7:15 p.m. on December 22nd. Salesian College Preparatory is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
