On Thursday, Cape Fear are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against New Hanover at 6:30 PM. If the 0-0 final from the last time they met is any indication, this game will be decided by the defense.
Cape Fear found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-23 punch to the gut against Seventy-First last Thursday. Cape Fear were down by 0-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, New Hanover took care of business in their home opener. Everything went their way against Northside - Jacksonville last week as they made off with a 35-14 win.
New Hanover's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Cape Fear's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if New Hanover can add another positive mark to their record or if Cape Fear can shake off the loss and take the spring out of New Hanover's step.
