Ben Lippen had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Irmo on Saturday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Yellow Jackets. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Matthew Bishop was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Ben Lippen got a massive performance out of Sean Lee, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most RBI Lee has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ty Fajardo, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Ben Lippen lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Ben Lippen is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Irmo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Ben Lippen will challenge Hilton Head Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Irmo, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dutch Fork at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
