The result was an unpleasant reminder to Stevenson of the 50-40 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 4th.
When it comes to explaining why Stevenson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nile Glover. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cooper Olin, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Stevenson has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Pacific Grove, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9.
