The St. James Academy Thunder were the 63-37 winner over the St. Teresa's Academy Stars when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. St. James Academy fell just short of the Stars by a score of 43-41.
Despite the loss, St. James Academy still got an impressive performance from Reese Messer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Messer hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Elle Robinson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
St. James Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for St. Teresa's Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. James Academy will take on the Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Valley West is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for St. Teresa's Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Valley Southwest is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.
