Hoosier Heartland recap October 22, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Hoosier Heartland this week, Tri-Central beat Sheridan 33-27. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Clinton Prairie took down Traders Point Christian Academy 53-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jaden Reneau was a passing and rushing force as Carroll defeated North White.
Reneau was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 33 carries, he ran for 207 yards as the Cougars bested the Vikings. Teammate Chandler Eurit added to the ground attack by rushing for 101 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Cody Howell of Tri-Central is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,014. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Switzer. The Carroll star has 22 catches for 477 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Clinton Central takes on George Gilbert's team. The Bulldogs are in fifth place, while the Trojans are in first place.
The Gophers led Hoosier Heartland in scoring this week by notching 53 points on Traders Point Christian Academy.
