The Oakville Acorns scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Lake Quinault on the road to the tune of 52-11. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Oakville has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oakville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa Forsythe, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Forsythe hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Ava Boyd, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Oakville's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Lake Quinault, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakville will challenge Taholah at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Taholah's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Oakville's offense will have their work cut out for them. Lake Quinault won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Beach at 5:45 p.m. on January 11th. North Beach is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
